Leave out some hot chocolate and loads of biscuits, they won't be so noisy then. After all, we leave out mince pies and milk for Santa.

Sounds like someone is trying to get your attention, child spirits are usually best for doing this. Light a white candle and ask for the family of this spirit to come and collect them. Putt salt around the house as this is a good deterrent.
