The best way to ward off negative spiritual influences is to keep up a regular spiritual cleansing and protection routine. Keep your home and person clean and clear and it will be very hard for anything to effect you negatively with any real impact. And demonic attack is extremely rare - so that's really probably not going to be something you need to worry about unless you have some enemies that are well-versed in evocation. What get's loosly termed "demon " is really a whole range of different kinds of astral beings - from elementals, and wandering ghosts, spirits of place, guardian spirits, lower astrals, to ancient deities/ angels/ strong spiritts from non-Abrahamic traditions (which is mostly what you find in grimoires like the Goetia), to beings that really do live to wreck havoc and evil. Most regular people, and even most people within the occult community, will not encounter the latter. So if knowing how to ward yourself is really the only angle of the occult that you're all that interested in, then I would get the book "Spiritual Cleansing " by Draja Mickaharic. Suppliment that with "Psychic Shield " by Caitlan Matthews, "Practical Psychic Self-Defense " by Robert Bruce, "Magical Self-Defense " by Kerr Cuhulain, "Protection and Reversal Magic " by Jason Miller You may also want to take an online class in spiritual cleansing - a good one is offered by Concha of Curious Curandera (curiouscurandera.com). You might also be interested in making contact with some demonolators (those who worship demons as their spiritual path), as they can help provide you with more accurate information. Just google the term and you'll get quite a few hits. Generally speaking, what has been termed "demon " by the mainstream religious organizations are really just non-physical entities outside of the "accepted " orthodox scheme of things. Some are harder to deal with than others, and certainly shouldn't be dabbled with, but it's not like The Exorcist or anything like that! And I know people who have worked quite successfully with Pazuzu! |
