Question for people who study the occult?
I have a copy of Michael W. Ford's book, " Beginning Luciferian Magick" .towards the end of the book, there is a ritual called The Ritual of Sorcery. I think it has something to do with demonic evocation. There is a warning before the ritual that says," Do NOT attempt this ritual if you or any participant has a history of mental problems, as this will surely lead to a less than pleasant result. The forces evoked are indeed real and should be approached seriously. The author and publisher accept no responsibilty for the use of this book. Use caution and you have been warned." Why is there a warning? What could happen?I personally have anxiety issues with panic attacks and I'm thinking twice about trying this ritual.
Fellow believers: have you ever messed with the occult, and, if so, what were the consequences?
I know from personal, first hand experience that if you play with the occult, that you are literally playing with fire. Back in the early 1990's, I was a teenager. I was very vehemently rebellious. I was raised in a Christian home. So once I started college, as many college students do, I started questioning my beliefs. There is nothing wrong with questioning one's beliefs. But I took things a step further, and almost fell off the edge of a great precipice. I got involved in studying about the occult and satanism. I had a small Rhapsody of books on the occult, including books on witchcraft and other books I do not wish to even name here. I know that the Necronomicon is just a work of fiction, but it was one book which I owned, and I took far too seriously, it seems. After going through a complex metamorphosis, during which time I became irreligious, agnostic, and then finally, an atheist in that order , I eventually came back to Christianity. I am now a born again Christian, and a son of Almighty God. I am happy and proud to be a follower of Christ again. But I deeply regret my past, for many reasons. I got rid of all the books on the supernatural and the occult many years ago. But I am reasonably sure that I opened a black doorway to the spirit world when I read certain materials. I became sick with a severe case of obsessive compulsive disorder shortly after dabbling in the occult. Although I am much better today than I was years ago, I believe I made myself sick by reading materials on nefarious subject matter. You see, it is not our intentions, but our activity that matters regarding the occult. If you ever mess around with Tarot cards, or Ouija boards, or Dungeons and Dragons, or if you read books that have to do with satanism or the occult, demons can enter you and torture your life. I know from firsthand experience. Please share your stories of anything having to do with investigating or playing with satanic things. Let this be a warning to all of you whom are curious and want to get into studying the occult or satanism there will be consequences. Please listen to me I want you to be safe Please do not dabble in the occult or satanism. It can lead to sickness, depression, oppression, and other evils. Can anyone share a similar testimony or story from personal experience?

Why can't God judge the world if it continues in witchcraft and the occult?
Isn't that what the entire book of Revelation is about?Of all the sins done by people, the ones judged the worst were occult practices.Purple witch I was extremely saddened. You will see why God's judgment fell on whole nations when they went into idolatry and wicked practices like sacrificing children. Allen You have your conscience.
Are there any good books in the occult?

Not really articulate with things when it comes to the occult. Will this hinder my ability?
Ive been studying the occult for a while, and whenever I go online to possibly find more resources or ways of thinking about things i find that sometimes i am unable to understand what some people are talking about or get as engaged in conversations about the occult and deities and such. Ive never really been a " scholar" so to say, as I dont really do extensive reasearch when it comes to cultures and ways of practicing magic or their respective religions, and things of the sort. Usually I examine what I already know, or what i am able to gain from reading certain books on mythology and such, and then i try and emply those things in my workings. Sometimes I cant help but get the feeling of inadequacy, but ive always been more interested in the more practical ways and interperting mythology and occult texts. Do you think this is going to hinder my ability?
Are there any jobs that deal with the occult? Like Sam and Dean in Supernatural..?
The subject fascinates me so i'd see it fitting to have a career perhaps in it too.Plus I posess a psychic ability that draws me to these things more..I can sense and sometimes see spirits. Thank god it's not all the time. I'm not ready for that..YET.
