Question: If god is supernatural (which is impossible for him to exist by atheists' theory), then how come humans have i?
(Posted by: Rookerman on 2010-03-02 06:55:45)
For instance, one atheist typed, "No one has ever seen or measured God, as God is supernatural. " He goes on to type, "Supernatural means 'above the natural' and, therefore, does not involve natural events which is the same as magic. " Okay, so if that's the case, then how come certain human beings posses the abilty of having "superhuman strength "? Are those certain human beings considered "magical " as well? Is that atheist kid saying that those strongmen who posses superhuman strength (which is beyond natural strength) are "magical human beings "? If they're magical human beings- - and that atheist kid say anything "superhuman " is "magical, " and therefore, doesn't exist in the "natural world "- - then why're they in the natural world? By that false premise of his or her, his or her statement is irrelevant. Hey, kid? I can have hugh amount of adrenaline going, but that doesn't mean that I'm going to lift something beyond what a typical human is suppose to lift. Now you delete your answer before you humiliate yourself further. |

Who possesses "superhuman strength "? > Consider hormones, Adrenaline and use of steroids. It can be explained by medical science. You don't need God to explain that. |

"how come certain human beings posses the abilty of having "superhuman strength "? " They don't. Like the god thing, this is something claimed without evidence. Do you have evidence? Or will you point to the Hulk comics and movie and try to tell us he's real? Or what? |

My GODS! English isn't even my first language and I see your major flaw. Putting the word "super " in front of another word doesn't mean it's magical at all! A jet capable of "Supersonic flight " doesn't mean it flies by magic - it means it flies faster than the speed of sound. Pretty simple, no? |

Wake up, my son! When the word 'superhuman' is used, it is entirely metaphorical. There are no 'superhumans' nor gods and demons and fairies and leprachauns. |

Well, see, Clark Kent isn't real. And what David Copperfield does isn't 'real' magic, see. And, well, what other world is there besides the natural one? The use of 'supernatural' is an idiomatic term for science fiction and fantasy and religion. It doesn't mean I BELIEVE there is a supernatural world. |

Sorry, your own statement is nonsense. 'Supernatural' DOES mean not involving natural events, which DOES mean magic. Since 'superhuman' makes NO REFERENCE to the word 'natural', it's got nothing to do with the analogy of magic. Superhuman strength means 'above normal, everyday strength', but is explained easily by adrenaline boosts, which cannot be normally accessed by people, except in instants of great stress. Your own statement is a false premise and has nothing to do with what the person in question said. Again, you're an idiot. |

No one posses super human strength, for strength to be super human it would have to defy the laws of physics in some why... A better word would be enhanced strength..... irrational word play does not prove any points, it just circumvents logic.. |

I like your questions. They make me laugh. Answer: they don't posses super human strength. They simply posses strength on the upper limit of human ability. |

Anything that happens, happens within the laws of nature, or it wouldn't happen. |

God is, even though the whole world deny him. Truth stands, even if there be no public support. It is self-sustained. |

Okay, so, what you're doing here is taking a colloquialism to be fact. People who are described as having "superhuman strength " don't LITERALLY have "superhuman " strength. There's nothing "superhuman " about their strength. It is entirely human strength -- exceptional human strength, but human nonetheless. The term "superhuman " is what's known as "hyperbole, " an intentional exaggeration for some rhetorical end. I sincerely hope you already knew that. Since the rest of your argument is based on this ridiculous semantic quibble, I think I can stop there. |

Feats of superhuman strength are documented and observable. There's nothing remotely supernatural about them. The instinct for immediate survival overrides the instinct for longer-term self-preservation, is all. They are generally caused by good old-fashioned adrenalin, although artificial stimulant drugs have been shown to have similar effects. |

Define beyond natural strength. those strong men, they take their work seriously. they were not born able to life a piano, they worked at it. they are not surpassing natural strength. their muscles are in accordance with their brain, their brain is sending the right signals, sending the right chemicals. its all a natural process. its just stronger and faster then the rest of us who have not trained in heavy lifting. superhuman, does not mean super natural anyway. super which is supra..meands beyond. human, means well, human. so super human, means that he posseses strength that is normaly beyond the human capabliitiy. not beyond natures capability. michal shaw can dead lift Dead lift max: 880 lb an elephent can toss a car.. not beyond nature, just conditioning. |

Some people have super strength because they drank the magic potion. Study the texts of Astrix and Oblix more closely, or the sacred writings of Marvel Comics. Some humans have super-grammar skills, some don't; therefore god exists. |

You should know the definition of supernatural. "Superhuman " strength is not supernatural and I don't believe anyone possesses "superhuman " strength as you claim some do. Some men have "great " strength because they build their muscles, not because of superpowers. Sudden adrenaline rushes with the excitement of fear and determination shouldn't be compared to God's existence. |
