Agnostic here. One day when I was about 12 years old, my mother drew a card at random from a deck of 52. I correctly identified it, first by color, then by suit, then by number. She then replaced it into the deck. This happened three times in a row. I promise you, this really happened. The odds were 1 in 140608 and that was the only time we ever played this game. Weird, huh? |

No. The Soviet Union did that -- not Russia itself. |

Russia has always been a mystical nation. The people were never athiests, the ruling party had an official stance that was atheistic. America has spent many times as much as Russia in these areas, as they have in most areas. I'm personally never seen or heard any valid evidence for any of it. |

A 1996 poll found that Russia is 71.8% percent Russian Orthodox (think Eastern Orthodox), 5.5% is Muslim, 1.8% is Catholic, and etc., etc. Only 18% of Russians consider themselves to have no religious affiliation. Which is a bit larger than the 11% in the United States, but really crushes the whole Atheist Russia myth that was Propoganda invented by the United States during the Cold War. But to answer your question, no I do not believe in anything supernatural. I wasn't always that way. When I was younger I used to believe. When I was older, there was even a time when I WANTED to believe. But now I accept the truth for what it is. There is nothing spiritual. There is nothing supernatural. The James Randi foundation has offerred $1,000,000 (for decades now) to anyone that can demonstrate the spiritual or supernatural in a controlled environment, and that money has gone unclaimed. There is simply no evidence to suggest that any such abilities exist. |

An Atheist is someone who does not believe in God. That's it. They can believe in anything else. Personally I do not believe in telepathy or remote viewing. It may have been possible in the past, but since man has learnt to communicate by speech, any such abilities have disappeared. |

According to recent polling in Russia, less than 5% admit to being atheists. However, nearly one-third of the population identifies themselves as "non-religious ". That is a far cry from being able to state that Russia is "an atheist country ". As for mental telepathy and remote viewing, I remain a non-believer. I have met many who claim to have such abilities, but they have never been able to do more than read people's emotions. That just makes them adept con artists, nothing more. |

But there is no humor.
