I am not American, but the more American movies I watch there is always psychic's or ghosts or souls or something like that and a LOT of people make references to god and heaven and hell. Do people actually think this stuff is real over there? lol I know this is probably a stupid question and the answer is probably no but I always see stuff like this in American movies and I can't tell if they're joking because English isn't my first language.

I am having trouble in my house. I'm starting to hear whispering at night that I can hear clearly. My friend Esa is also starting to see and hear things, but at first I just thought it was my imagination, but then my laptop turn on by itself and a song started to play " Supernova goes Pop" but the laptop was closed. Then my phone started to call Esa and it went on speaker. At first I only heard a little girl laugh, then now i heard a deep voice say ESA in the middle of the night. Shadows are starting to apear. I really dont believe in ghosts and I am kinda having fun with it all. Esa doesn't like it and wants it gone, but I really dont see any harm in it. So my question is" Is there any harm in me trying to communicate with it or have fun with it. If so then what are my options"

Yesterday I installed a stereo next to the bookshelf in my home office. It was previously in another location of my house and functioned properly. Now the CD door opens and closes on it's own. Every 5 or ten minutes.Ancient Egypt is one of my interests. On my bookshelf, among other curiosities, rests a Sphinx statuette. It is from the Thutmose III era. It is a dark granite with faded gold inlay measuring approximately 5" x 3" . This is a genuine archeological artifact worth a great deal.Do you think there may be some residual 'power' or other phenomenon associated with the statuette causing my stereo to malfunction?
