Question: What is the difference between lucid dreaming and astral projection?

Lucid dreaming is when you recognize you are dreaming while asleep. Astral projection is allowing the soul to travel apart from the body. In short: lucid dreaming is real, and astral projection may not be.

The only astral projection I know about (or believe for that matter) is that at the London Planetarium.

In astral projection, others can see you although you're not physically present. Sometimes your image shows up in photographs only. It has to do with the will to be present, they say.

The first part of Clays answer explained it correctly, but astral projection is the projection of the SPIRIT not the soul. Astral projection is very real and that is the main reason why people become witches. Astral sex is the most important thing to witches. In astral projection your normal awake mind travels outside of the body in lucid dreaming you become aware tat you are in the middle of a dream. They are very different

Lucid dreaming is when the mind recognizes when it is in a dream and is scientifically proven to exist. Astral projection is when the soul leaves the body during sleep and allows the person to explore without their physical body. Astral projection is not scientifically proven to be true (although there are many people who claim it exists) and there is only anecdotal evidence that it is possible to see things happening in the real world during astral projection. As far as I know, there is no scientific data that suggests astral projection is any different than a vivid lucid dream... it just depends on what you want to believe it is.
