Question: Are liberals or conservatives more likely to believe in ufos and alien abductions?

If you were to divide the US population up into liberals and conservatives, which of the two groups would have the strongest belief in UFOS and alien abductions? By UFOs I mean: secret government aircraft, aliens in space crafts, time travelers. Basically any belief other than regular aircraft mistaken for something else By alien abductions I mean: abductions by real aliens or fake abductions to make people believe in aliens. Basically, anything other than the belief that people are making it up/ are crazy. Focus, people. I'm only interested in the political breakdown, not the merits of belief. If you can't answer lib/ con don't answer at all. |

The universe is never ending and we will never know how many worlds bear life on them, we do not have the technology to see all of space. So nobody in the public eye can answer this question it would be based on there opinion. I personally believe there is life elsewhere. But abductions... No. |

I'd guess it broke down by rural/ urban... and more liberals are urban, so more conservatives believe in UFOs. Are there statistics anywhere on this? |

It really does not matter for both groups have their believers as well as their non-believers........ So over-all it is actually close to even...... |

Most of my freinds are liberals. Conservatives just want to kill everything they dont understand or like. And then cover it up or deny it. |

You might find this interesting: From: The distorted political and world view of UFO believers by:John Talleos Hartford Conservative Examiner "The greater danger of (the UFO) movement is its distrust in government. There is nothing anyone in government can say or do to sway them from the idea that there aren't secret hiding places of captured space ships, or withholding evidence. There are political differences amongst ideologies but what liberals and conservatives do agree on (at least the more level headed of each) is that the government can't keep secrets well. It also stands to reason that if there were evidence of UFO's too many people will know about it and as years go by the amount increases. By now someone would have come forward. But the danger is the idea that government is an entity on its own detached from civilian control and oversight. What politics counts on is the prospect that when one side wins government policy and direction will change. This is what all the fighting is about, its democracy. What the UFO people suggest is the opposite in that democracy is but a facade, and illusion, and what counts are secret conspiracies or underground levers of power that really control things. The implications of what this movement asserts should not be taken lightly. The UFO movement is more then just a pseudo-science, whether it wants to admit it or not it is a political movement with a distorted world view. They are allowed to speculate with books and documentaries and it is more of an amusement or curiosity to a lot of people or just ignored by others. But in some respects it ought to be taken seriously if only to stop it in its tracks and finally confront its political implications and overall world outlook. |

From my experience, I've seen this behavior from both sides. In the united states by the way, the term "Liberal " is applied to socialists and other such scum. Conservatives are usually poorly educated but so are most of the socialists. The main problem here in the US is, we unionized our public education and nothing good ever comes of that. Blessed Be |

Most likely the liberals would be more open to this possibility. Out of conservatives there may be a small minority who believe in UFO's etc but would choose to keep this secret. |

Insult humor is really just a sincere insult,

of humor.
But there is no humor.
It is the tool of cowards and bullies. |
